Competition at the 2011 Pan American Games will begin tomorrow in Guadalajara with the Womens Team Finals. Below is the information and team lineups from USA Gymnastics.
 
GUADALAJARA, Mexico, Oct. 23, 2011- Tomorrow, the womens team finals kick off the beginning of the 2011 Pan American Games artistic gymnastics competition at the Nissan Gymnastics Stadium in the Lopez Mateos Sports Complex in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The U.S. women compete in the final subdivision, which begins at 4 p.m. CT.

The members of the U.S. Womens Pan Am Team are: Bridgette Caquatto of Naperville, Ill./Legacy Elite Gymnastics LLC; Jessie DeZiel of Rogers, Minn./Twin City Twisters; Brandie Jay of Ft. Collins, Colo./GK Gymnastics; Shawn Johnson ofWest Des Moines, Iowa/Chow's Gymnastics and Dance Institute; Grace McLaughlin of Allen, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics; and Bridget Sloan of Pittsboro, Ind./Sharp's Gymnastics Academy.

The competition order for the U.S. Womens Team in the finals is as follows:

Countries competing in the same subdivision with the United States are Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Mexico, and Venezuela.

The team champion will be determined at the conclusion of the second and final subdivision. The team finals also serve as the qualification round for the all-around finals on Oct. 26 and the individualevent finals, Oct. 27-28. The mens team finals are scheduled for Oct. 25, and the U.S. men compete in the first of two subdivisions. A maximum of two athletes per country may advance to the all-around and individual event finals.

Surprisingly, 2009 World All Around Champion Bridget Sloan will not do all around, and as expected Shawn Johnson will not compete floor. This leaves the all around chances to Bridgette Caquatto who was the highest all around finisher of this group at the 2011 Visa Championships at 6th place, Grace McLaughlin, and Brandie Jay

o   ESPN Deportes, U.S. rights holder of the 2011 Pan American Games, is showing between 90-120 hours of live and exclusive footage on both Deportes and ESPN3. The network has been broadcasting a minimum of three hours of live coverage featuring the top events each day and will continue to do so throughout the Closing Ceremony. Coverage will feature a wide range of competitions including baseball, basketball, boxing, soccer, swimming, track & field, volleyball and several others.
