Gymnastike to Cover the 2010 World Championships
Gymnastike to Cover the 2010 World Championships

In less than 2 weeks, the 2010 World Championships will kick off in Rotterdam and I am thrilled to announce that gymnastike will be on site for coverage of the event! This will be the first major international team competition since the Beijing Olympics, and the first step in qualifying for the 2012 Olympics in London.
Coverage from Rotterdam will begin on October 14th with video interviews, up-to-the minute updates, and behind the scenes coverage. This year's Worlds consists of 8 days of competition - 4 full days of qualifying, team finals competition, all around finals, and individual event finals. You can follow it all right here on gymnastike, and check back often as new videos and updates will be posted throughout the day.

The FIG recently released the nominative entries list. Click here to view. This list is not final, and keep in mind the US Women's team has not yet been named (the decision will be made October 6th). Overall this is one of the largest attended World Championships to date with 70 countries competing and over 500 competitors. Kohei Uchimura of Japan will be back to defend his 2009 All Around title, and we'll find out shortly if '09 women's champ Bridget Sloan will have the chance to defend hers.
