Four U.S. Men's National Team Members are competing this weekend in Moscow at the 2010 Moscow Stars World Cup meet. The American team includes Tim McNeill (trains at USOTC, graduate of Cal Berkeley), Alex Naddour (University of Oklahoma), Paul Ruggeri (University of Illinois), & Brandon Wynn (Ohio State University). The men just finished a successful qualification round. Below is the release from USA Gymnastics:  

 

U.S. men advance to all 6 event finals at Moscow World Cup

"MOSCOW, Russia, May 14, 2010 – Paul Ruggeri of Manlius, N.Y., qualified for three individual event finals at the 2010 World Stars. His teammates Tim McNeill of Falls Church, Va; Alex Naddour of Mesa, Ariz; and Brandon Wynn of Vorhees, N.J., also advanced to event finals at the International Gymnastics Federation World Cup event at the Sport Complex Olympisky in Moscow, Russia. The USA advanced to event finals on all six apparatus. Finals begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 15.

Ruggeri, who competes for the University of Illinois, qualified in first place on horizontal bar (15.375), second on floor exercise (14.925) and sixth on vault (15.612). 2009 World all-around seventh-place finisher McNeill, who trains at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, qualified for two events, finishing second on parallel bars (14.925) and fifth on pommel horse (14.728).

The University of Oklahoma’s Naddour, the 2010 NCAA pommel horse champion, qualified just ahead of McNeill on pommel horse in fourth (14.825). 2010 NCAA still rings champion Wynn of Ohio State University posted a 15.425 to qualify fourth on rings and just missed the parallel bars final, finishing in ninth.

The top eight gymnasts on each apparatus qualified for event finals."
