The IBJJF will release the brackets for the World Championships in the days leading up to the competition, but the days in which the weight classes will begin competition are on the schedule. 

The IBJJF Worlds Championships will bring some of the best Gi BJJ athletes in the world to Southern California for the final leg of the IBJJF Grand Slam.

IBJJF Worlds will start on May 29 at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, Calif. as grapplers across multiple IBJJF Weight Classes in male and female divisions will compete for world championships. 

The IBJJF Weight Classes Competing At Worlds Are:

• Juvenile blue belt 
• Juvenile brown belt 
• Juvenile purple belt 
• Adult blue belt 
• Adult brown belt 
• Adult purple belt 
• Adult black belt
