With his team nursing a 1-run lead in the ninth inning, Garrett Anglim hit a pinch-hit solo home run to help cushion the Nebraska baseball lead as the Cornhuskers took Game 1 of the College Baseball Showdown 4-1 at Globe Life Field.

Nebraska broke a 1-1 run tie in the eighth inning with a Dylan Carey double. After Anglim's home run, Cayden Brumbaugh added another RBI.
