Kat Ding Lloyd really came into her own during her time as a Georgia Gym Dog from 2008-2012. She became an outstanding gymnast who brought big scores each week on vault and bars and also saw time in the beam lineup.

Ding battled back from injury to get into the floor lineup during her senior season. She was a part of the 2008 National Championship team during Suzanne Yoculan's final season and really stepped up as an upperclassman, winning the NCAA bar title in both 2011 and 2012 along with adding an NCAA floor title in 2012.

FloGymnastics recently caught up with Kat Ding Lloyd to talk to her about life after gymnastics:

FloGymnastics: What have you been up to since graduating in 2012?
Ding Lloyd: I graduated in 2012 and then moved to Louisiana for a year for a job. But then I realized Georgia is my home and I moved to Atlanta area. I got married in 2015 and we bought a house in the Atlanta area. I am now a product manager at a company that sells items to put any sort of gift in. We are like Christmas all year long!

When you look back at your career at Georgia, what moments stand out to you the most?
I would say my last ever floor routine, when I ran off the floor and told Jay Clark, "That was the best routine I have ever done." It was a nice pinnacle to end my career on, winning the floor title.

What are you most proud of as a Georgia Gym Dog?
Georgia gymnastics has a lot of history and I am most proud to be a part of that history. I wanted to be a part of something big and that is why I came to Georgia: to be a part of such a great team. It is very special to me that I was able to be a part of Georgia gymnastics history.

What do you miss most about gymnastics and being a Georgia Gym Dog?
Gymnastics was such a large part of my life that it felt really weird to not have that as a part of my life anymore. I just miss the sport as a whole. I miss the comradery with my teammates and the incredible fan base that we had at Georgia.

What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am personally proud of the fact that I was told I wouldn't be anyone at Georgia and I rose to the occasion and proved to be worth the trouble.

You were a teammate with Courtney Kupets Carter . . . what are your thoughts on her being the new head coach at Georgia?
Courtney is the perfect person to come in as head coach. She knows the Georgia tradition as she lived it as a student athlete. She is part of the legacy at Georgia and is the perfect person to bring Georgia gymnastics back.

What is next for you personally? What are your future goals?
I plan to do some traveling with my husband and enjoy being married. We are settling down and starting to think about a family, but with no timetable.

Anything else you would like to share with us?
I am excited to see the next step that Georgia takes now that we have a legacy!
