On May 22, 2017, the USA Gymnastics Policy Review Panel met with Deborah Daniels, who is concluding the comprehensive, independent review of the organization’s policies, procedures and guidelines regarding sexual misconduct and abuse, and Aaron Lundberg of Praesidium, Inc., who is assisting Ms. Daniels with the review. Ms. Daniels met with the Policy Review Panel to gather additional information and input on athlete safety, safe sport and member club issues needed to complete her review. Ms. Daniels is in the final stages of preparing her report, findings, and recommendations, which will be presented to the USA Gymnastics Board of Directors in late June. 

The members of the 2017 Policy Review Panel are Casey Koenig and Paul Parilla (USA Gymnastics Board chair), co-chairs; Tasha Schwikert, Olympic medalist; and Anne Josephson and Tom Forrester, gym club owners. 

USA Gymnastics looks forward to receiving Ms. Daniels’ report, which includes an examination of the culture within our sport, and recommendations that will help USA Gymnastics strengthen its Safe Sport efforts.
