During last night's 60 Minutes episode on the scandal surrounding former U.S. national team physician Dr. Larry Nassar, former elite gymnasts Jamie Dantzscher, Jessica Howard and Jeanette Antolin delivered emotional interviews about the abuse they suffered under his care.

While the episode ran, USA Gymnastics posted several tweets. One of them featured a quote by Tasha Schwikert, who competed on the bronze medal-winning Olympic team in 2000 alongside her former teammate, Dantzscher:

There isn't a date attached to the quote, so both the context and the timing of when Schwikert provided it are unclear.

FloGymnastics reached to Schwikert for comment and received the following response:

"My experiences, are my own and not intended to negate the experiences of the victims.

First, in regards to the issues surrounding Dr. Nassar, given some of these women are my close teammates and friends I was completely and utterly shocked when I first learned about the allegations only months ago. My heart goes out to the gymnasts who were impacted by Dr. Nassar's actions.

Separately, I recently shared my experiences from National Team Training Camps with 60 Minutes. As to the allegations raised in the media specifically regarding the environment at the Karolyi Ranch, my personal experiences were different.  I always felt supported by the adults present, my personal coach, as well as my fellow teammates. It was an environment that motivated and inspired me to reach my full potential as a gymnast."

FloGymnastics also contacted USA Gymnastics for clarification on the timing and context of the tweet:

"Tasha spoke with "60 Minutes" last week about her experience as a national team member and attending training camps at the Ranch, and provided a statement to them. She also gave us a statement regarding her experience as a team member, with permission to share her statement. USA Gymnastics cares deeply for all of our athletes, and we are committed to doing everything we can to promote a safe environment for them."
