Georgia senior Lauren Johnson is a hometown girl from Atlanta, Georgia. In her time at Georgia, Johnson has had some ups and downs with injury. She sat out the 2015 season after tearing her ACL during preseason. Last year as a junior Johnson came back from injury competing in the vault and bars lineup.

Johnson is a very powerful gymnast and that shows in her sky high yurchenko full on vault. Johnson has a career high of 9.975 on vault, winning the 2014 SEC vault title, in just her second ever competition. Heading into her senior year, Johnson is looking great in training on both vault and bars. Look for Johnson to have her best season yet and become more of an impact gymnast for the Gymdogs.
