• The Congress has unanimously approved the accounts 2014 and 2015 as well as the quadrennial plan 2017-2020.

• The Congress has unanimously confirmed and granted membership to the following six Gymnastics Federation from: Aruba (ARU), American Samoa (ASA), Cameroon (CMR) Cook Islands (COK), Fidji (FIJ), St. Vincent and the Grenadines (VIN). The FIG now counts a total of 148 member federations. The continental distribution is as follows: Europe, 50 members; Asia, 38; the Americas, 30; Africa, 25 and Oceania, 5.

• The Congress has accepted numerous small changes of the Statutes. Concerning the three major issues, Congress has missed the required 2/3 majority and thus refused Art. 11.15.7. dealing with conflict of interests as well as Art. 14.4. which would have ruled that Presidents and Members of the Technical Committees are no longer elected by the General Assembly, but appointed by the Executive Committee. Congress has accepted Art. 25 foreseeing a new position of Technical Coordinator to be appointed by the Executive Committee.

• The Congress has updated the FIG Code of Ethics which includes that any close family relative to a competitive gymnast may not judge that gymnast or his/her unit (pair, group etc.) at any FIG sanctioned event.

• The Congress has unanimously assigned the 82nd FIG General Assembly to the Gymnastics Federation of Azerbaijan. It will be held on December 2 - 3, 2018, in Baku (AZE).
