Ashton Locklear has been busy traveling around the country on the 2016 Kellogg's Tour of Champions this month, but the 2016 U.S. Olympic alternate had time for a pitstop back in her home state of North Carolina during a short break from shows on Tuesday.

In an interview with NBC Charlotte, Locklear discussed her experiences traveling to Rio as an alternate, as well as being part of the tour. Although the tour is physically demanding, Locklear said she is very much enjoying it, especially getting to be with her friends on the other teams, such as rhythmic and tramp and tumbling.
