Techniques and Drills for Back Handsprings in Tumbling
Back handsprings are a key building block for big tumbling in compulsories, optionals, and beyond. Below are a few drills from our library of training and technique videos that focus on the back handspring.

These drills can be used for gymnasts first learning back handsprings, as well as experienced gymnasts. Problems or poor technique in back handsprings can lead to even bigger problems with the rest of the tumbling pass and it's always a good idea to revisit and drill the basics.
