Technically, it's not gymnastics. At least not in the Olympic sense of the word. It's tumbling. But what Angel Rice can do is close enough—and truly incredible.
Rice, who has been dubbed the Tumbling Queen, pulled off stunning passes at the recent Elite Challenge that she posted on Instagram. The video has gone viral with more than 15,000 likes.
The 16-year-old from Atlanta hits a round off, back handspring, double back, three whip-backs consecutively without hands, another back handspring and a double pike. That's a lot to type, let alone do.
Her second pass was incredibly impressive as well.
This is nothing new for Rice, who owns two Guinness World Records and has appeared on the TODAY show. She is a two-time world cheerleading champion and a USA Gymnastics National Power Tumbling team member.
On TODAY in 2015, she set the Guinness World Record with 10 double full twists performed in one minute. That's downright dizzying.
While Rice is arguably the best at what she does in the world, unfortunately for her tumbling is not an Olympic sport. But she's still a high-school teen—there's plenty of time for that to change. And in the meantime, there will be many more viral videos likely to come.
