On Friday, #57 Texas Woman’s University will play host to a quad meet with #2 Oklahoma, #10 Auburn and #56 Illinois State. This will be an exciting meet to watch as two of the top-ranked teams, the Oklahoma Sooners and the Auburn Tigers, go head to head. The teams have not competed against each other in the regular season since 2010 when Oklahoma beat Auburn. The meet will also show great competition between TWU and Illinois State, who are hovering very close to each other in the rankings at the moment.

Below, we’ve compiled a list of the top five routines we think you should pay particular attention to during this meet.

Caitlin Atkinson (Auburn) - Vault

Senior Caitlin Atkinson is a key all-around competitor for Auburn. She is consistent on all four events, but she is especially strong on the power events - vault and floor. Her vault is important for the team because she performs a 1 ½ twisting Yurchenko, valued out of a 10.0. She performs the vault very well and her season high score is a 9.925, which she scored in her first meet of the season against Oregon State. Abby Milliet (Auburn) - Bars

Junior Abby Milliet competes bars and beam for the Tigers, but it’s her bar routine that really stands out. It’s one of the more difficult routines being performed in NCAA. She has a great toe-on to Tkatchev and also performs a beautiful Pak Salto. Her season high this year is a 9.875, which she has achieved twice so far. Schyler Jones (Texas Woman's University) - Beam

Schyler Jones of TWU is a sophomore this year and one of the Pioneer's key leaders. Last year, she showed great consistency in her rookie season and was named the 2015 MIC Conference Co-Newcomer of the year. Jones boasts a career high all-around of 39.20. In TWU's quad-meet last weekend against San Jose State, Seattle Pacific, and William and Mary, Jones led the team with strong performances and took second in the all-around with a season-high 38.775. Jones is a very impressive beam worker and scored a 9.85 last weekend. Watch Jones on beam when TWU took on Florida in their home-opener.

Chayse Capps (Oklahoma) - Beam

Junior Chayse Capps has one of the most beautiful beam routines in NCAA at the moment. She’s currently ranked #6 in the country on the event, with a season high of 9.925. Capps has been key for the Sooners on beam ever since she started competing for them. She has ranked within the top 10 in the nation every season, and last year she was ranked second. She’s competing all-around for the first time this year, adding in bars, and she’s doing a fantastic job. Still, it’s her beam routine we love the most. She has great choreography and does a good job of keeping a nice flow throughout the routine. Check out her routine below from the Metroplex Challenge, when she scored a 9.9:

Ali Jackson (Oklahoma) - Floor

Sophomore Ali Jackson’s floor routine is so fun to watch. She’s got great choreography and really engages the crowd with her dance. On top of that, she’s a powerful tumbler, and she flies high on all of her passes, including the double pike that she does as her final pass. Jackson competes on vault, bars and floor for the Sooners. Her high score on floor this year is a 9.925 and she’s currently #17 in the national rankings. Amanda Mohler (Illinois State) - Bars & Beam

Illinois State senior gymnast Amanda Mohler was named Midwest Independent Conference (MIC) Specialist of the Week for the second week in a row after standout performances on bars and beam at ISU's meet against UIC last weekend. She scored 9.825s on both events and will look to continue to momentum this weekend at TWU.

"She is competing with confidence and showing just how good of a gymnast she has become over the past 4 years of her college career," said head coach Conkling on Redbird Athletics.
