The 2015 Top Gym Meet in Charleroi, Belgium is only one week away, and the premiere junior elites who will be competing are in the peak of their preparation. The first day of competition begins next Saturday November 28th at 9:35am CST. There are athletes coming from nine different countries to compete in this prestigious competition. LetÂ’s get to know some the standout competitors...

RomaniaÂ’s Olivia Cimpian is a spectacular junior competitor who has had great recent success. At the 2015 Romanian National Championships, she competed among the seniors and scored an impressive 56.250—good for fifth place. She excelled in the power events, scoring a 14.70 on floor and a 14.20 on beam. At the 2015 Nadia Comaneci International Invitational, she took the gold in the all-around and on floor, silver on vault and bronze on bars.

Cimpian competed at the Top Gym meet last year, and tied for silver with Great BritainÂ’s Amy Tinkler with a 51.30 all-around score. She also took the silver on vault, bars and beam, and clinched the gold on floor. Unfortunately, Cimpian misses out on being eligible for the Rio Olympics by just one day, as she turns 16 on January 1, 2017.
