President Obama to the Olympians and Paralympians: "We could not be prouder"

The President, Vice President, and First Lady welcomed the 2012 Olympians and Paralympians to the White House on September 14, 2012. Gymnast Sam Mikulak was there, representing the Team USA gymnasts. Among others present were runner Leo Manzano, who won the silver in the 1500; swimmer MIchael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all-time; 3-time Olympic marathonner, Meb Keflezighi; 15-year-old gold medalist swimmer, Katie Ledecky, the youngest member of Team USA; runner Manteo Mitchell, who finished his portion of the 4x400m relay for Team USA despite breaking his leg halfway through the race; 2-time silver medal-winning sitting volleyball player, Kari Miller; and flagbearers U.S. Navy Lt. Brad Snyder, a gold and silver-winning Paralympic swimmer, and fencer Mariel Zagunis, a 3-time Olympian.
