Stick of the Week - Kullen Hlawek

Gymnastike Stick of the Week goes to the biggest, baddest vault at the 2012 Texas State Meet - Kullen Hlawek of Champion. Hlawek set herself apart from the sea of traditional yurchenko vaults with a stuck Podkopayeva, the vault named for 1996 Olympic Champion Lilia Podkopayeva of the Ukraine. Hlawek tied for the Texas State title on vault with all around Champion Rachel Daum, each scoring a 9.750. Hlawek also won the floor title and placed 2nd all around with a 38.175.
