Jordyn Wieber

Today, Nick Garner of SportsTalk4Kids (http://www.sportstalk4kids.com) met Olympic Gold Medalist Jordyn Wieber gymnast for USA Gymnastics, who was in town for the Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions 2012. Jordyn talked to Nick about what it was like to be part of the USA Women's Gymnastics 2012 Team that won the gold medal for only the second time at the 2012 London Olympics. Wieber, the 2011 All-Around World Champion, was the favorite to win the all-around Gold Medal, but did not qualify for the individual finals. She described for Nick how she handled that disappointment and returned to lead the Americans with a great first vault on the final day of the team competition. Wieber talked to Nick about all the memories of her Olympic experience, including meeting other Olympians in the Olympics Athletes' Village and what it was like to stand on the podium to receive her Gold Medal, along with Jordyn Wieber gym teammates, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, Kyla Ross, and McKayla Maroney.
