The University of Alabama is back at the NCAA National Championships for the 29th consecutive year and are are coming into Cleveland ranked #1. Their young team got off to a slow start but continued to build throughout the season, eventually winning the 2011 SEC Conference title and an easy victory at the Tuscaloosa Regional Championships. We spoke via skype with Alabama head coach Sarah Patterson to give you an in-depth preview of this year's Gymtide team before they take the floor in Cleveland. The 2011 Alabama gymnasts are: Becca Alexin, Olivia Carisella, Alyssa Chapman, Sarah DeMeo, Ria Domier, Lindsey Fowler, Marissa Gutierrez, Kayla Hoffman, Kim Jacob, Megan Mashburn, Diandra Milliner, Jordan Moore, Ashley Priess, Ashley Sledge, Geralen Stack-Eaton, Rachel Terry, Hannah Toussaint Alabama drew to start on a bye before floor and will compete in the second of two preliminary sessions, facing Oregon State, Florida, Nebraska, Utah, and Kent State. Only the top three teams will advance to the Super Six team finals.
