In August of 2010, the 2000 USA Women's Olympic team who placed 4th in the Sydney Team Final were awarded with bronze medals after it had been confirmed that one of the Chinese gymnasts on the bronze medal team was under age. The 2000 USA Team had been regarded as a disappointment for many as the only team to fail to earn an Olympic medal since 1992. There was a lot of restructuring in the National Team system around 2000 and this team went through the initial stages in building the women's National Team training center, National Team Coordinator and the selection process that is in place today.
Kelli Hill was Head Coach of the 2000 Olympic team. This interview was done with Kelli in August, just a few days after she watched her 2000 Olympic team and her 2 personal athletes (Dominique Dawes and Elise Ray) receive their Oylmpic medals in a medal ceremony at the 2010 Visa Championships in Hartford. It was one of the best interviews of the year on gymnastike and the the "Most Overdue Interview of 2010".
