Intense Pre-Practice Conditioning Circuit With IGI

Illinois Gymnastics Institute owner and head coach Todd Gardiner took us through an intense conditioning circuit that his team completed before practice during our visit to the gym last month. Gardiner explains the importance of his athletes being well conditioned when it comes to preventing injuries and staying on top of their game.

2 panel pushes across floor
28 V-ups
1x stick back tuck off panel mat

3 panel pushes across floor
17 jumps onto panel mat
17 jumps off panel mat
8 frog jumps over panel mat

2 panel mat pushes across floor
2x back tuck stick
1x front tuck stick

2x forward and backward slider walks (with pushup)
2x - 3 back tucks or back pikes
2x - 2 front tucks

10 press handstands
2x - 1 minute handstand hold
8x each jump (no stop): right split, left split, straddle, wolf
2x Lizard walks
