Recruiting 101: How To Stay Motivated In The Gym

null

Being a gymnast often demands a life of single-minded focus, starting at a very young age. By the time a gymnast reaches high school, she may look around and see lots of other fun things to do.

Also, level 10 can be very challenging and skills can take longer to learn. Gymnasts' bodies can begin to change as well as their centers of gravity. Sore muscles and little nagging injuries creep into the training more often as well.

Below are some tips on helping your gymnast stay motivated:

1. Go to college gymnastics meets

2. Watch a college practice

3. By a motivational book or biography of a favorite athlete

4. Create a dream board

5. Set attainable short-term and long-term goals
