Oklahoma beat Alabama by one tenth tonight in the Perfect 10 Challenge. Michigan finished third with a 196.2 and West Virginia placed last with a 193.525. Diandra Milliner took first on vault with a nearly perfect yurchenko 1 1/2 and a 9.975. Joanna Sampson won bars with a 9.9, Beth Deal won beam with a 9.95, and Haley Scaman won floor with a 9.925. Milliner competed all-around for the first time this season and claimed first with a 39.525. 

Oklahoma started strong on vault led by Scaman's 9.9 for a 49.35. Alabama was on bars where they had a fall but were still able to post a 49.225. Bama was missing star all-arounder Sarah Demeo who took a fall earlier this week and displayed concussion symptoms, but Milliner stepped in and competed bars for the first time since her sophomore year.

In the second rotation, OU widened their lead after they tied Bama's bar score with a 49.225 and Bama scored a 49.075 on beam. In the third rotation, OU scored an impressive 49.3 on beam lead by Rebecca Clark's 9.925. Alabama posted a 49.25 on floor lead by Milliner's 9.9.

Alabama was more than three tenths behind going into the fourth rotation and they were motivated to rock vault. They scored their highest vault score of the season, 49.55, but it wasn't enough to close the gap. Oklahoma scored a 49.325 on floor and secured the first place finish.

While Bama came up short, head coach Sarah Patterson was still happy with the results. “We took on the No. 1 team in the country without our top all-arounder and came within a tenth of a point,” Patterson said. “I’m extremely proud of this team and how they competed tonight.”

Michigan started with a rough beam rotation where they had a high of two 9.725 scores and finished with their season low of 48.35, five tenths lower than their previous season low. They were able to rally on their next three events and even scored a season high 49.425 on vault, lead by Natalie Beilstein's 9.95. Joanna Sampson had a strong meet and finished with a solid 39.325. However, they couldn't erase beam and they scored their second lowest team score of the season. 

West Virginia also struggled tonight and posted their second lowest team score of 193.525. They started out shaky on floor with a 48.2 but recovered on vault with a 49.15, their highest of the season. They ran into more trouble on bars where they weren't able to score above a 9.625 and ended with a low of 47.95. They finished on beam lead by Beth Deal's 9.95 and a team score of 48.225.
