Sydney Johnson-Scharpf has announced she won't compete at the P&G Championships, beginning today at the Chaifetz Arena‎ in St. Louis.

On Instagram, she noted she injured her knee in the training camp before the U.S. Classic and hasn't been able to fully heal in time to compete today.



2016 has been a big year for Johnson-Scharpf—she competed at the City of Jesolo Trophy back in March, which was not only her senior debut, but her international debut as well. Although Johnson-Scharpf's season has ended, she is determined to come back strong next year after this setback.
