The No.1 ranked Oklahoma Sooners return to the Lloyd Noble Center to host the No. 4 ranked Michigan Wolverines this Friday, February 26th. This will be an exciting match up as two top five teams will go head to head.

The Sooners are coming off a win against No. 10 Georgia, where they scored a 197.375. The Sooners had incredible performances on vault, bars and beam, counting a 9.95 on each. Chayse Capps posted Oklahoma's top all-around score with a 39.45 and continues to be a rock for her team this season.

The Wolverines will be coming to Norman with one goal in mind: redemption. Last week, the Wolverines competed in a tri-meet against Southern Utah and UC Davis. They had some uncharacteristic mistakes on beam that lead them to place 2nd at the tri-meet, and a season low 195.75. This was Michigan's second loss on the season and dropped them one spot in the rankings to No. 4. Despite the loss, the Wolverines had outstanding performances on multiple events. Freshman Olivia Karas won vault with a 9.90, giving her seventh win on the event in just eight meets to start her college career. Junior Talia Chiarelli won floor with a 9.925, and Austin Sheppard and Nicole Artz shared the bar title with a 9.875.

It would be no surprise to see these two teams at Super Six later in the year, making this an exciting matchup in Norman. The meet against Michigan will also be Alumni Night for the Sooners, where former Oklahoma gymnasts from all across the country will come to see their alma mater shine.
