Throwback Thursday: Norah Flatley's Timeless Beam Work
Norah Flatley has always been known for her stunning work on beam, even back when she was just a little tiny tot. Today's Throwback Thursday takes us through a few of her timeless routines and combinations that rocked the gymnastics world. Flatley trains with Liang Chow and Liwen Zhaung at Chow's Gymnastics and Dance in Des Moines, IA.

Here's little 9-year-old Norah when she was a level 8 and already showing off incredible precision and unbelievable flexibility. She was competing in the event finals session of the 2010 Northern Lights Classic and won beam...with a 9.85!

In 2012, Norah scored a 9.750 at JO Nationals to win the Jr. A beam title:

She took FIRST on beam during her elite international debut in Jesolo with this routine, finishing with a stuck dismount! It doesn't get any more ROCK-SOLID than this:

And then Norah made her series even harder because five skills just wasn't enough. So spectacular.

After missing much of 2015 elite season due to injury, the future Bruin is back in action and making outstanding progress. She has a new series of BHS BHS back layout full and a beautiful new Endo combination on bars.

Norah will turn 16 on March 10, which makes her eligible for Rio. Although she missed some opportunities to gain competitive experience in 2015, don't count out this little firecracker!
