Hello from Chitown! Im Kyle a contributor for the best gymnastics site in the world ;) I will be here with Anne and Jason giving you updates on your favorite gymnast and the new faces. please comment we would love to hear from you!

Alright, the seniors rocked! What an awesome night!
 
It was hard for me to pick MY 2nd and 3rd place winners but my WINNER was easy.
my gold medal would go without a doubt to Chellsie Memmel (56.950 ). She was a rock. Chellsie is known as the train that keeps on going, but for good reason.. she needs her olympic medal! Her brani on beam was amazing not to mention the solid Standing Arabian, and double pike dismount.. she looks like an olympian to me! I loved that her double piked arabian is better then ever! Chellsie was awesome to interview she wants this bad... DONT COUNT MEMMEL OUT!
 
My TIE for silver would go to Mckenzie Wofford ( 55.600 ) 
this cat is good! just a good solid all arounder. with an upgraded vault she could contribute internationally on bigger stages. 
 
My other TIE silver would go to - Shawn Johnson ( 42.950 on 2 events ) 
as we all know shawn as been out of competition living the celebrity life. On top of being a superstar shawn had a huge injury that should have set her back. yes shawn looked like she had been out of competition for a while due to wabbles and uncharacteristic falls, but she looked like she means business. excited to see more from her in saint paul.
 
Bronze would have to go to Casey Jo Magee who went from NCAA to elite and was able to show that she can compete with the best in the country.  Casey showed us great potential on beam and was DETERMINED not to come off the beam.. im sure you all saw the amazing fight to say on :)
 
My Honorable Mention goes to Anna Li ( 14.3 ) in all my experience of watching Anna on bars she has never fallen. 14.3 with a fall and a miss combo? wow that shows that she is a world class singer. Anna has gotten her feel of the elite atmosphere again and I can assure you she will be back on top of the bar podium. Cant wait to see her in Saint Paul with her rumored upgrades.
 
Wow so much gymnastics today, we are all tired but cant wait for saint paul... SEE YA THERE!!!

 If I had to give a personal Gold medal to someone it would be to lexie Priessman. She seemed to have added a full twist to every skill in her routine ( dbl dbl floor, full in dismount on BB, layout full in off UB ) ;) 
 
my silver would go to Kyla Ross (58.85 )who has made the UB a strong event for her. very short routine with a lot of connections to get that 6.0 start. Kayla competed a beautiful Amanar that she made round with no hint of struggle. little bit to much power and stepped outta bounds.
 
My bronze medal would go to Brenna Dowell (55.35) who seems to get more aggresive and explosive every year. great consistant competitor. 
 
My honorable mention.... 
 
Nichelle Christopherson ( 51.3 ) is Byers gymnastics first elite since Katelyn Mohr's bid for the olympics in the '08 quad. She showed great potential with a standing arbian on beam, full in on floor, weiler kip half to complete handstand and great releases. she showed a sky high half in half out dismount off bars. love to see what she will do next year.

Its crazy how many yurchenko dbl fulls there were, its almost compulsory:) 
another popular skill was the R/O 1 1/2 through to 2 1/2 on floor. 

It seems like the US is getting much better on the inbar elements! there were some fantastic bar moments today. 

I am currently sitting watching the even younger elites ( pre elites and hopes ) I wont say much but there is a girl from Utah doing a standing ondi with NO hands on beam..... whoa:)

I will be sure to update you on the senior women! Im interested to hear in what skills you would like to see get more popular.... THOUGHTS?
