2012 Olympics are 1 Year From Today!


Exactly one year from today, July 27, 2012, the London Olympics will open with a spectacular ceremony to welcome the athletes, and the world, to Britain. Let the countdown begin! 
 
Last weekend in Chicago we saw three out of six members of the 2008 USA women's Olympic team compete at the CoverGirl Classic and make their statement that they plan to be in the mix for 2012. However, they've got loads of young talent nipping at their heels. 
 
Over the next year, everything will be about the Olympics. It's all about timing and peaking. Potential Olympians will be getting their routines set in stone and the repetitions under their belt. And soon enough the mainstream media will start reappearing in the gymnastics world. 
 
Now the question on everyone's mind - who will it be? We know that in making a team it comes down to whether or not you can hit, and if you've proven yourself to be ready when it counts. That time won't come until July of 2012, but in the meantime here is a list of the current USA National team members who are eligible for competition in the 2012 Olympic Games.
