Who Romania Brings to the Anadia World Cup

This weekend Portugal plays host to the 2013 Anadia World Cup Challenge. The competition will take place June 21-23, and Gymnastike holds the exclusive U.S. rights to stream this exciting event. Gymnastike Gold members will have access to the LIVE stream of the competition finals. But before the competition gets underway, we'd like to highlight some of the top international gymnasts that will be vying for those coveted event titles. Today, we focus our attention on Romania who brings Larisa Iordache and Diana Bulimar to the field.

Larisa Iordache is a member of the Romanian National team, and a competitior at the 2012 London Olympic Games. At the '12 Olympics, Iordache helped Romania to a third place finish in the team final as well as qualifying to the beam and all around event finals where she finished sixth and ninth respectively. Iordache comes to the Anadia World Cup Challenge on the heels of a stellar performance at the 2013 European Championship held in Moscow. At the Championship, Iordache took home the gold for the beam final as well as the silver in the vault, floor, and all around competition. While certainly an all around competitor, Iordache shines on the beam. Iordache registered the highest beam score of 2012 with a 15.95 at the Friendly Meet in Bucharest.

Also of Romania, Diana Bulimar sets to compete this weekend. Bulimar competed in the London Games where in addition to the Bronze team medal, Bulimar competed in the beam event final. At the 2013 European Championship, Bulimar finished fourth in the all around competition tied with Switzerland's Giulia Steingruber.

We look forward to seeing these strong athletes represent Romania this weekend at the Anadia World Cup.
