Florida Victorious, Bridget Sloan Notches 10
The No. 2 Florida Gators earned a 197.9 in their final regular season meet tonight against Texas Women’s University who scored a 193.4. Bridget Sloan scored a perfect 10 on bars and she has now scored a perfect 10 on all four events and is the first UF gymnast to do so. Sloan also won vault with a 9.95, Claire Boyce won beam with a 9.925, and Kytra Hunter won floor with a 9.975 and all-around with a 39.675.
Florida is now 7-3 overall and 5-2 in the SEC. Tonight’s competition was the final home meet for seniors Hunter, Jamie Shisler, Rachel Spicer and Kiersten Wang. Wang earned career highs of 9.925 on floor and 9.9 on vault. Spicer scored a 9.75 on vault, 9.9 on beam, and 9.875 on floor.
