The February women’s national team camp concludes today at the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch, an official U.S. Olympic training site. The five day camp began on Friday and is held under the direction of National Team Coordinator Martha Karolyi.

 

The camp included physical abilities testing and routine verification, as members of the U.S. National Team prepare to participate in the AT&T American Cup, March 7 in Arlington, Texas, and the City of Jesolo Trophy, March 27-28 in Jesolo, Italy. Two-time World all-around champion Simone Biles and World vault bronze-medalist Mykayla Skinner showed final readiness for the AT&T American Cup.
 

In addition to Biles and Skinner, the members of the gold medal winning 2014 U.S. Women’s World Team in attendance are: Alyssa Baumann, Madison Desch, Madison Kocian, and Kyla Ross. Along with Ross, 2012 Olympic gold medalists Aly Raisman and Gabrielle Douglas were also scheduled to participate in the training camp. The next national team camp is scheduled for March 18-22 and will serve as a training camp as well as a selection camp for the City of Jesolo Trophy.
