At 22, Olympic Champion Shawn Johnson has already accomplished the American Dream: four medals from the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, not to mention a gold on balance beam, two novels including a New York Times best-seller, a successful business and a career in broadcast. Let’s also not forget to acknowledge her “All-Star” title from winning Dancing with the Stars in 2009.

Last week, Johnson announced she would be returning to the spotlight as a contestant on one of the highest-rated shows on television, NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice.” This new endeavor will no longer require her to rely on her physical prowess, but her business acumen. This season, Johnson will join 15 other celebrity contestants as they try to raise money and awareness for their charity of choice. Other contestants include Vivica A. Fox, Lorenzo Lamas, Terrell Owens, Kenya Moore, Leeza Gibbons, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Geraldo Rivera, Johnny Damon, Gilbert Gottfried, Brandi Glanville, Kate Gosselin, Ian Ziering, Jamie Anderson, Sig Hansen, and Kevin Jonas.

Each week, the contestants will compete in teams performing tasks around New York City, using their business-saavy, celeb-status to win challenges. According to the “Celebrity Apprentice” homepage, contestants are subjected to “long hours, grueling deadlines, intellectual challenges, personality clashes and intense scrutiny under the careful watch of Donald Trump and his advisors.” The winner will have the honor of delivering a $250,000 bonus check to their designated charity.

Johnson will be representing “Character Counts In Iowa,” a non-profit with the mission of promoting civility and helping Iowans practice and recognize good character.

The seventh-season of “Celebrity Apprentice” premieres January, 4 at 9 p.m. CT on NBC.
