Junior Spotlight- Norah Flatley
                                                    

14 year old international junior elite gymnast, Norah Flatley, trains at Chow’s Gymnastics with head coach Liang Chow and Liwen Zhaung. Norah is one of the many juniors set to compete at next week’s Secret US Classic. Norah will be looking to step up to vie for the all-around title with the absence of Bailie Key. At last years Secret US Classic, Norah finished 4th in the all-around, 2nd on beam and 4th on bars. 
 

Competition highlights:

Norah Flatley of Chow's won the all-around bronze medal in her international debut, Jesolo 2014! She helped the U.S. Junior Team win the team gold and qualified in 1st place to beam finals. Norah finished 1st on beam and 3rd in the all-around at Jesolo. She also competed for Team USA at the 2014 Pac Rim Championships where USA won team gold and Norah finished 2nd on beam and 4th on bars. Norah has goals to compete at the 2016 Olympics for Team USA. Is Norah Flately the next star to come out of Chow’s and follow in the footsteps of Gabby Douglas and Shawn Johnson?! 

Routine/Skill highlights: 

Norah’s gymnastics showcases great difficulty, strength, grace, flexibility and consistency. Her strongest event is beam where she features a strong and powerful BHS-BHS- Layout series connected to jumps. She has a great combinations- front aerial, front aerial, side aerial which gives her the opportunity to increase her start value. Throughout the routine, she showcases amazing flexibility with her dance and leaps. Norah ends her routine with a powerful and well executed BHS-BHS- 2 ½ dismount. On floor Norah may be small but she is powerful. Her routine features a triple full, front double full, double pike and 2 ½ twist. Norah swings with grace and fluidity on bars where she features some unique connections.  Check out her amazing gymnastics below!
