Two More Gold and a Bronze For USA Men
On the fourth and final day of competition at the 2014 Anadia World Challenge Cup, medals were awarded on five apparatuses: men’s vault, parallel bars, and high bar, and women’s balance beam and floor.
On the vault, the first final on the men’s side, Eddie Penev (USA) earned his second gold medal of the competition with a 15.100 average score. Audrys Nin Reyes (DOM) took the silver medal with a 15.025, and Ruiyang Qu (CHN) took home bronze with a 14.987. Team USA’s Sam Mikulak finished fifth with a 14.375 average. Haoran Wang (CHN), who led qualifications, did not compete in the finals.
The parallel bars final played out much like qualification round, with the gold, silver, and bronze medals going to top three qualifiers Kevin Antoniotti (FRA) with a 15.500, Kitja Petkovsek (SLO) with a 15.475, and Mikulak with a 15.125, respectively.
Mikulak then moved on to his third final of the day, where he claimed a fourth gold medal for the USA (and his third medal individually) with a 15.450. Marijo Moznik (CRO) earned a 15.125 to claim silver, and Francisco Barreto (BRA) earned bronze with a 15.050.

On women’s balance beam, Jessica Lopez (VEN) earned her second gold medal of the competition as she took the title with a 13.850. Silver went to Teja Belak (SLO), who won the vault final on Saturday, with a 13.150, while bronze went to Diana Abrantes (POR) with a 12.975.
On floor, it was her fellow Portuguese teammate Ana Filipa Martins who claimed gold with a 12.875. Jasmin Mader (AUT) scored a 12.575 to claim silver, and Elena Riga (UZB) took home bronze with a 12.525.
