The Pan American Championships continued today in San Juan, Puerto Rico with event champions crowned on beam and floor. Daniele Hypolito of Brazil won the floor final with a score of 13.675 followed by Canada's Victoria Moors with a 13.500. Moors opened her routine with an incredibly difficult laid out double double but incurred significant deductions when she landed with both feet out of bounds. Ana Sofia Gomez Porras of Guatemala was the beam champion with a 14.350 and an impressive 6.1 difficulty score. Jessica Lopez of Venezuela placed second  and earned a 14.075 for her routine.

The second day of qualifications at the 2013 Pan American Championships has concluded in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dovelis Torres posted the top score on vault with a 14.325 followed by Leticia Costa with a 13.962 and Nicole Vazquez scoring a 13.700. Kaitlyn Hofland posted the highest score on the uneven bars with a 13.875 followed by Valeria Pereyra in second with a 13.225 and Jessica Lopez in third with a 13.025.

The first day of qualifications at the Pan American  Senior Championships in Artistic Gymnastics started Thursday, August 8th at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Some big names competing in  include Victoria Moors of Canada, Danielle Hypolito of Brazil, Ana Sofía Gomez of Guatemala, and Jessica López of Venezuela. 

Gabriella Douglas of Canada and Daniele Hypolito of Brazil posted the top two scores on beam during qualifications. Douglas earned a 14.175, Hypolito followed Douglas in second with a 13.875. Ana Sofia Gomez of Guatemala qualified third with a 13.800, while Canada's Victoria Moors qualified fourth  with a 13.725, and   Jessica Lopez of Venezuela fifth with a 13.675. 

On floor, Hypolito held off Cuba's Dovelis Torres with the top score of day. Hypolito's 13.850 puts her just ahead of Cubas's Davelis Torres who scored 13.800.  Paula Mejias of Puerto Rico qualified in third with a score of 13.225.

Athletes from the United States are not participating as they prepare for the P&G Championships. P&G Championships takes place next week in Hartford, CT.  Make sure to catch all of Gymnastike's live coverage of the P&G Championships.
