And The LSU Tigers Just Keep Getting Better...
Last night, the LSU Gymnastics team posted a season high 197.275 against Missouri.
Many may have been worried about the outcome of this meet when the competition was delayed by 15 minutes due to power outage in the Hearnes Center... Sound familiar?
Not the Tigers! They went 49.100 on bars with their line-up including Jordan(9.125), Ranzy(9.775), Dickinson(9.85), Courville(9.85), Wyrick, and Morrison(9.775), causing them to lead Missouri by .425 after the first rotation.
They didn't stop there. They came out strong, with many of their gymnasts scoring and matching career high's for the rest of the competition. Jessie Jordan competed in the vault line-up for the first time this season, scoring a 9.875 and Rheagan Courville tied her career high on vault with a 9.95.
Then the Tigers went to floor...
Jessie Jordan opened up with a 9.85, getting the crowd pumped for what was to come. Kaleigh Dickson also recieved a 9.85, earning her a season high score. Jessica Savona and Rheagan Courville also tied with a 9.90 on the floor exercise. Then came Llomincia Hall, scoring a whopping PERFECT 10. This was the first 10.0 for the Tigers since Ashleigh Clare-Kearney in 2009 on vault.
The Tigers finished strong on beam with Ericka Garcia tying her career high 9.85 and Kaleigh Dickson receiving a season-best 9.825. Britney Ranzy, Llomincia Hall, and Rheagan Courville also earned fantastic scores and pumped Jessie Jordan up to finish the meet with a career-high 9.90!
The Tigers defeated Mizzou with a 197.275. I told you this was going to be an amazing season!
