The Legendz Classic: Truly One of a Kind
The top level 9 and 10 gymnasts from Kim Zmeskal's Texas Prime Meet qualify for the unique Legendz Classic event finals. This is an exciting and unconventional competition featuring three Olympic and World medalist team captains. The 2013 captains are Daniela Silivas, Rebecca Bross, and Chellsie Memmel! The format of the Legendz competition includes some "creative" rule changes and fun commentary by the always hilarious Chris Burdette of Texas Dreams.

The oldest and most decorated legend is Daniela Silivas, one of the greatest Romanian gymnasts of all time. Silivas is a 3-time Olympic Champion and 7-time World Champion who was discovered at the age of 5 by Romanian Coach Bela Karolyi.

Silivas became well known following the 1985 World Championships in Montreal, Canada. Following in Nadia Comaneci's footsteps, Silivas won her first world title on the balance beam with a perfect 10. Two years later at the 1987 World Championships, Silivas won four more World medals, including three gold.

Silivas dominated at the 1988 Olympics where she won a medal on every event including three golds, two silver and bronze. In her final competition at the 1989 World Championships, Silvias won three more World titles. Silivas won an astonishing 16 World and Olympic medals and 10 were GOLD!

Rebecca Bross trains at WOGA and is known for her amazing skills and mental toughness. She is a 6-time World medalist and U.S. National All Around Champion. Bross had already made a name for herself at the elite level by 2008, but she was not old enough to compete for the Beijing Olympics.

Bross was a key member of Team USA at the 2009 World Championships. She contributed towards the team silver medal and picked up two individual silvers in the all-around and beam final.

Bross had a dream season in 2010 winning the all-around at the American Cup, Pacific Rim Championships, and Visa Championships. Bross won three medals at the 2010 World Championships, winning a team silver and bronze in the all-around and uneven bar finals.

Chellsie Memmel, the last minute replacement to the 2003 World Championship team, shocked the world with her strong performance in Anaheim. Memmel lead Team USA to its first ever World Team gold medal and tied with teammate Hollie Vise for the individual title on the uneven bars.

In 2005, Memmel finished .001 ahead of Nastia Liukin to become just the third American in history to win the World All-Around title!

In a career filled with many highlights, Memmel’s final routine at the 2008 Olympic Trials has to be considered as one of the greatest routines in Trials history. This routine earned her a standing ovation from National Team Coordinator Marta Karolyi and earned her a spot on the 2008 Olympic team that took home the silver medal. Memmel racked up an impressive total of seven World and Olympic medals and a place in USA Gymnastics history.
