CTV Olympics has announced that Kristina Vaculik, Victoria Moors, Dominique Pegg and Brittany Rogers have all qualified to the 2012 Canadian Olympic team.

Later on Thursday, Gymnastics Canada announced via Twitter that Ellie Black will be the fifth athlete on the London squad.  Jessica Savona and Madeline Gardiner have been named reserves.

Vaculik missed the Olympics in 2008, but dominated the Canadian Championships and the Olympic Trials en route to becoming an Olympian.

Moors has also been impressive in 2012, and will be a contender for floor exercise finals in London, tumbling a double-double and showing a gift for presentation.

The Canadian team is selected through a points system that takes into account finishes at national and international competitions.  The five gymnasts selected were also the top five athletes on the points scale.

The gymnastics competition at the 2012 Olympic Games begins July 28.
