2011 European Gymnastics Championships Recap
The 2011 European Championships concluded yesterday in Berlin. While there was not a team final event in this year's event, Russia won the overall medal count with Romania in 2nd and Germany in 3rd.

The biggest news from the weekend in Germany is that reigning World Champion Aliya Mustafina tore her ACL in the all around finals while competing her amanar vault. She is scheduled to have surgery on Tuesday. This will keep her out of the upcoming World Championships in October.

In Mustafina's absence, her Russian teammate Anna Dementyeva stole the spotlight and won the all around title despite vaulting only a yurchenko full. She made up most of the difficulty value she lacked on vault with a big beam set. The men's all around was a battle. In the end, Philipp Boy came up with the gold to the delight of the home crowd. Below is a rundown of the top 3 finishers on each event in Berlin and video uploaded by gymnastike user eurogym. You can watch more videos from the competition here.
