Weekend Ahead: LIVE Broadcast the Northern Lights Classic, and More!
There's a big weekend of gymnastics coming up with the 2011 Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup on Friday, the American Cup on Saturday, and then to make the weekend even better, we will be covering the 2011 Northern Lights Classic Event Finals LIVE on Sunday! Here's a complete rundown on what you will see on gymnastike this weekend:
Saturday, March 5th: 2011 Northern Lights Classic
Gymnastike is back by popular demand for coverage of this fun event in Minneapolis. The meet is hosted by one of the top club teams in the nation, the Twin City Twisters. There will be a strong field of over 1000 competitors, girls levels 4 though 10. Teams competing include: Brandy Johnson Gymnastics, Chow's, Midwest, Midwest Twisters, North Shore MN, Premier CO, Swiss Turners, TAGS South, TGA, M & M, Show Me, TAGS EP, Triad, and of course TCT. This meet features event finals for levels 8-10 that will take place on Sunday and be covered LIVE on gymnastike.

Saturday, March 5th: Cornell, SCSU, Yale, and WCU at Rutgers
David Pendrys will begin his weekend of coverage at Rutgers. Longtime Rutgers Head Coach Chrystal Chollet-Norton will coach her last home meet before her impending retirement. The house will be packed with 4 visiting teams: Cornell and Yale from the Ivy League, and Division 2 ECAC teams SCSU and West Chester.

Saturday, Marth 5th: Houston National Invitational
Bo Morris and crew will bring us some coverage from Houston in what should be an impressive competition. featuring men's, women's and TNT all under one roof. On the men's side, Joseph Hagerty, Charlie Tamayo, Wesley Haagensen, Alexy Bilozertchev, RJ Heflin and many U.S. Junior National Team Members are scheduled to compete. There will also be a few international teams from China, Australia, Puerto Rico and potentially Ukraine, Canada and Mexico. This will be the final competition for 2008 Olympian Joey Hagerty who plans to retire. There was not a gymnastike representative available for full coverage of the meet, so coverage here will be limited.

Sunday. March 6th: LIVE Coverage of the Northern Lights Classic Event Finals
Gymnastike will bring you live coverage from Minneapolis as you watch the best of the 2011 Northern Lights Classic for levels 8, 9, and 10. Live coverage will begin at 1:15pm CST.

Sunday, March 6th: SCSU, MIT club team, & Bridgeport at Brown
Four familiar teams will meet up in Providence as USAG Champ Bridgeport is in town along with their fellow D2 ECAC team from down the road, Southern Connecticut. This will be the final regular season meet of the year for Brown.

Monday, March 7th: #29 Central Michigan and Brown at #30 New Hampshire
David Pendrys will cap off 3 meet coverages in 3 days as UNH hosts senior night on Monday. Central Michigan makes the trip, and they are joined by Brown in their second meet in as many days.
