2011 Winter Cup Challenge Finals Qualifiers
2011 Winter Cup Challenge Finals Qualifiers
The first day of 2011 Winter Cup competition has concluded, and Oklahoma's Jake Dalton holds the top all around place after vaulting a huge tsuk triple (15.950) and recording the top score on floor (15.900). He totaled an 88.10 all around score which is over a point lower than his season average. The #1 ranked NCAA all arounder, Glen Ishino of Cal, holds a season average of 90.100 all around but only totaled 86.900 after struggling on high bar where he is usually great. Look for Ishino to post a big score on Saturday. 2009 & 2010 World Team member Danell Leyva sits in second all around with 87.450 after falls on both floor and pommels. He debuted a huge 7.40 start value high bar routine, posting the top high bar score of the day, 16.00. Andrew Elkind of Team Hilton HHonors and USOTC posted the top score on parallel bars, 15.500 and is 4th all around.
