The iPro Sport World Cup of Gymnastics will be held at The O2 Arena in London on Saturday April 8, featuring many of the world's top elites in a prestigious all-around competition.

USA Gymnastics announced today that senior Victoria Nguyen has been selected to represent the U.S. at this meet, which will come just one week after her performance at the 2017 City of Jesolo Trophy. Donnell Whittenburg will be USA's competitior on the men's side.

The competition will feature nine male and nine female gymnasts including Ukraine's Oleg Verniaiev and Russia's Angelina Melinikova. The women will compete in the afternoon at 1pm and the men will compete at 7pm (GMT+1).

Great Britain's 2016 Rio Olympic medalist Amy Tinkler said she is thrilled to take the stage in a few weeks:

I'm so excited to compete in London, in front of such a massive crowd. I love the atmosphere of a big crowd and to know that pretty much everyone is supporting me is a huge motivation and I know will definitely boost my performance. The O2 is an iconic venue and it's an incredible honour to be competing in there.
The first World Cup of Gymnastics took place back in 1975 and was hosted in London, so British Gymnastics is excited to see the event being brought back to its roots. This will be the final competition in the 2017 World Cup Series where the winner who has gained the most points over all past three events (American Cup, Stuttgart World Cup and this World Cup in London) will be crowned.
