3. Trinity Thomas: Beyond the Routine

As the 2013-16 quad ends, we turn our attention to the next group of rising elites aiming for Tokyo 2020. At the front of the pack is Trinity Thomas, a Junior National Team member from York, Pennsylvania. Thomas has the complete package from her natural talent and power to her positive attitude and work ethic. Some have even compared Thomas to Simone Biles, but Thomas is forging her own path. After a breakout final year as a junior, Thomas becomes a senior in 2017 and has big plans in the works.

2. Maile O'Keefe: Beyond the Routine

Maile O'Keefe earned the 2016 Junior National Champion title with a dominant performance and quiet confidence that fans adored. But the path to the title wasn't easy, and her career is just getting started. Learn about what it took for Maile to get where she is, the big goals that still lie ahead, and her coaches Tammy Salcianu and Sorin Salcianu that have been by her side every step of the way.

1. Texas Dreams II: Beyond the Routine

We revisited Texas Dreams Gymnastics for one of our most successful and compelling Beyond the Routines to date. This series checked back in with coaches and gym owners Kim Zmeskal Burdette and Chris Burdette and their Dream Team. Ragan Smith and Bailie Key were both training for the 2016 Olympic Games and heading into the crucial summer meets. And while much of the focus in 2016 was on the seniors, Texas Dreams is always training their next generation and we got another look at their younger elites including junior national team member Emma Malabuyo.
