Simone Biles and the rest of the Final Five haven't slowed down much since the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games in August. Within the past three months, Biles has traveled on the Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics champions, starred in a music video, released a book, and done more media appearances than she can probably count.

In a recent interview with AOL about her new book, "Courage to Soar," Biles reflected on her journey and how she became one of America's biggest sports stars. She gave an update on her training, saying that she will be extending her break from competition through all of 2017.

I won't be competing for at least a year and a half.

Biles is ready to enjoy a couple of well-deserved vacations -- the ones she wasn't able to take in the past couple years because of intense training. She said she will be spending her time off from training having fun, letting her body rest, and "embracing the moment that we have," she said.
