The September women's national team camp is underway at the USA Gymnastics Training Center in Huntsville, Texas. Twenty-four gymnasts are attendance for the five-day camp, which began Wednesday and is under the direction of women's national team coordinator Valeri Liukin.

According to USA Gymnastics, "The focus of the camp will be to help provide guidance on skill selection and proper execution, along with feedback for routine construction as athletes begin to prepare for the first phase of the 2017 competitive season under a new Code of Points. The camp will begin with physical abilities testing."
