Laurie and Val Secure 'DWTS' Elimination Immunity with Tango in Week 3
Laurie Hernandez danced the tango this week on "Dancing with the Stars," season 23, with partner Val Chmerkovskiy. The duo performed to Crystal Lake's "Into the Sunset" and received 31 out of 40 points.

For elimination immunity, it was a "face-off" between Laurie and Val and another duo, Derek Hough and Marilu Henner. Whoever received the higher score received immunity for the next week. With 31 total points, Laurie and Val were the ones able to escape elimination this week before the results show even began Tuesday night.

Watch their performance below:

In an interview with E! News following her intense dance, Hernandez was back to her bubbly self after admitting that it was difficult for her to "channel all the emotions she was supposed to have during the tango."

When they put on her fierce deep red lipstick before she stepped on stage, though, she said she was ready to go. She joked while pointing to her lips,

I am good now, I am this.

Laurie and Val will hit the dance floor again next week in Week 4, and we're ready to see them rock it.
