Update: Larisa Iordache Still In the Running for Rio
After initial reports stating Catalina Ponor earned Romania's spot at the Olympics, the Romanian Federation has confirmed that Larisa Iordache is still in the running for Rio.

NBC Olympics reported that Emanuel Fantaneau, Media Officer of the FRG, confirmed Iordache returned to a hospital in Vienna earlier this week for further treatment of her hand and was told she'd need another two weeks of recovery time. However, she is still under consideration for Romania's individual berth in Rio.

Below is Fantaneau's statement, as reported from NBC Olympics:
For now nothing is set about the name and the other girls (for ex. triple Olympic gold medalist Catalina Ponor) are in that selection process. Preparations continue for all girls and the technical team will decide at the time which gymnasts will be in Rio. Larisa remains of course one of the main favorites and we wait with confidence.
