These NCAA Teams Had the Best Showing at 2016 J.O. Nationals
The best level 10s from around the country competed at the Junior Olympic National Championships this past weekend in Fort Worth, Texas. Many of these top gymnasts have already committed to college and we took a look at where these college bound gymnasts finished this weekend to determine which college had the best competition.

Many of the top NCAA teams like Florida and UCLA have committed elite gymnasts, who obviously didn’t compete this weekend. However, many other top teams like Georgia and Michigan had numerous future team members compete. (These total numbers may not be completely accurate due to the nature of undocumented verbal commitments).

Analyzing the number of gymnasts each college had competing, as well as the placement of those gymnasts, we determined which college teams had the best showing at J.O.s. Below are the top five schools.

1. Georgia

While Georgia may not have had the most gymnasts competing at JOs, they had the strongest showing overall. The five gymnasts who are committed to Georgia all scored above a 38 and placed in the top 10 all-around. The average all-around score for these five gymnasts was an incredible 38.39.

Every single gymnast earned a gold medal - either in all-around, on an event, or both, to give Georgia seven gold medals total. Besides winning all-around with a huge 38.65, Rachael Lukacs took the title on vault with a 9.8 and floor with a 9.7. Rachel Baumann tied for first all-around with a 38.35. Rachel Dickson tied for gold on bars with a 9.7, Samantha Davis posted a huge 9.825 on floor for first, and Ashley Foss scored a 9.75 to tie for first on beam.

All of these gymnasts have the potential to be stars in college and Georgia's got a bright future ahead!
