Nastia Liukin On Simone Biles' Biggest Competition
2008 Olympic champion Nastia Liukin recently talked with Reuters about the next Olympic gymnastics star. Naturally, the conversation gravitated toward Simone Biles, who has won the last three World Championships and every other all-around competition she's entered for almost three full years.

So, who is Biles' competition as the biggest meet of the last quadrennium is upon us? Nastia gave her insight.

To be honest, she's her own competition. She's just competing against herself. She's the best gymnast I've ever seen.

This is a big honor coming from not only an Olympic champion, but someone who has seen so many incredible gymnasts throughout her years involved in the sport. Biles has taken the sport to a whole new level, and she hasn't even reached the pinnacle.

Avid gymnastics fans know that Biles has been at the center of the sport for years even without an Olympic appearance under her belt, but most of the world will be introduced to her for the first time during coverage of Rio 2016. Liukin predicts there will be an instant connection.

America is going to fall in love with her. She's just bubbly and giggly and enjoys life and loves gymnastics.

Liukin noted that of course, former Olympians Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman will be pushing Simone, as well as some of the Russian and Chinese gymnasts. But overall, Biles is simply in a league of her own.
