The Washington GymDawgs will travel to the Jon M. Huntsman Center to compete against the no. 6 Utah Red Rocks this Saturday.  The two Pac-12 teams competed in Seattle last season, resulting in a win for Utah 197.025 to 195.650.  This will be a tough meet for Washington, coming off a meet against Oregon State that head coach Joanne Bowers said "had some disappointing performances." Despite this, sophomore Joslyn Goings says, "We know what we are capable of.  We're excited that we have another meet this week and a chance to rebound quickly."

The highlights of last week's meet included a season high team vault score of 48.875, an event-winning 9.9 performance on floor from senior Allison Northey, and a career high of 9.775 on beam from freshman Malory Rose.  Goings won the all-around with a career high 39.125.

Meanwhile, UCLA just edged out Utah at the Pauley Pavillion last weekend 107.100 to 197.075.  Highlights from the Utes included a vault win of 9.875 from sophomore Samantha Partyka and senior Kassandra Lopez's first place 9.925 score on uneven bars.  Partyka also won the all-around.

Performances to watch for this weekend will be Washington's Northey - who has won three all-around titles this season - and junior Kaitlyn Durancyzk, who has hit the 9.9 mark on bars this season.  From Utah, keep an eye out for senior Breanna Hughes (nationally ranked no. 7 in the all-around), junior Baely Rowe (nationally ranked no. 3 on bars), and freshman Sabrina Schwab (who has won two Pac-12 freshman of the week awards).  The meet begins at 7:00 MST this Saturday and FloGymnastics will be on-site.  Check back here for videos and results!
